The Patterns of You
An ongoing collection of hand drawn materials, primarily wood, captures melodic waves of wood grain that interact with shapes and colours, creating a meditative experience for the viewer.
Each piece undergoes a ritual by the artist, you can call it magic or any other way, that plants an intention into the canvas.
It then radiates a certain energy, emotion, essence.
Little round windows into the world of nature and dream states, unexpected associations and memories, these miniature and bigger art pieces serve to bring warmth, slow introspection and balance of emotions.

This poem was sent to me by a friend who asked ChatGPT about poems on wood. Attributing the authorship to Pablo Picasso (which isn't correct), the AI apparently came up with the poem by itself but was too shy to admit.
The Music of You
It took a couple of months to come up with a title for this piece. Initially, I started it because I wanted to try this combination of marble and wood, cold and warm, firm and soft.
Then I just left the canvas in the living room on our piano, and it started to live its own life. It spent hours taking in vibrations of the old piano and listening to my partner practice, play, sing Elton John’s songs and compose his own music. I sometimes played as well. This is when I knew what I want to name it - “The music of you”. And you can think of a song or a melody that nurtures your heart.

One of the daoist mind practices consists of sitting still and looking at a red circle as a focus point. It's supposed to help us learn how our mind operates, observe its flows and patterns. This art piece was inspired by that principle, and aims to bring the energy of clear concentration.
