​​​The piece evokes a sense of stillness, even through the dynamic composition of the landscape and close up of the stallion’s head. It shows us the same scene from two perspectives: we watch from afar as he stops in the middle of the meadow and brushes his muzzle against the bloom. As we come closer we see his eyes and mane drifting like silk in the invisible mountain breeze and can scent the bloom of forget-me-not's, those tiny gentle blue flowers that grow together forming soft clouds of colour across the field.
